nCircle Expands Operations to Canadian Market
Company establishes presence in Toronto to meet growing vulnerability management needs of Canadian organizations, expand research and development team
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — March 22, 2004 — nCircle, the leading provider of enterprise-class vulnerability management solutions, announced today that the company is opening a research and development facility in Toronto, Canada. The expansion into Canada will provide nCircle with access to experienced talent in the network security software market while enabling the company to meet the growing vulnerability management needs of Canadian organizations. Mike Murray, nCircle's director of research and development, will lead Canadian operations.
Approximately 99 percent of security breaches target known vulnerabilities for which there are known countermeasures. However, the number of vulnerabilities is growing so rapidly that the cost of finding and eliminating them on large networks before they can be exploited has become onerous. nCircle's vulnerability management system is a complete lifecycle solution that continuously and automatically finds and manages the elimination of vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
